episode 16: how to read oracle cards for yourself - when you’re full of doubt

Reading oracle cards for yourself can feel nearly impossible when you’re anxious, biased, or emotionally invested in the outcome. In this episode, I share the exact method I use when my intuition feels muddled — when the stakes feel high, the options feel endless, worried about 'getting it right', or I’m simply too in my head to hear anything clearly. This technique helps you bypass mental noise and get to something true.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  1. Why it’s hard to read for yourself — and when this method works best

  2. How to use the Blind Reading technique step by step

  3. How to build trust in your new oracle deck and in your intuition using the Double Blind Reading technique

  4. Tips for beginners and advanced readers to deepen intuitive clarity and increase your success rate

I’ve included visual references in this ritual guide. I’d love to hear how this goes for you! Send me pictures of your setup!

Blind oracle card reading

I pulled two cards per crumpled paper. The first card was the main energy. The second card was a further explanation of that energy

Sometimes the paper won’t have the question. Just a number.

This works similar to a double blind study. Refer to the episode for context.

short outline of the blind reading method

  1. Prepare questions

  2. Write them down on separate pieces of paper and crumple the pieces of paper. Jumble them up

  3. Pick one crumpled ball of paper

  4. Imagine you or your client in front of you (depends on the question)

  5. Ground - see episode 17 for grounding methods

  6. Tune in to the paper (even though you don’t know what it is)

  7. Shuffle your cards and pick one. Open the card. This is the answer to the question.

  8. Capture the first thoughts immediately

  9. Repeat for all pieces of paper

  10. Open all the pieces of paper and compare your recorded notes to the question.

short outline of the double blind reading method

  1. Prepare questions - 3 days worth (see the episode for context)

  2. Write them down on separate pieces of paper and crumple the pieces of paper. Jumble them up

    • Pick one crumpled ball of paper

    • Imagine you or your client in front of you (depends on the question)

    • Ground - see episode 17 for grounding methods

    • Tune in to the paper (even though you don’t know what it is)

    • Shuffle your cards and pick one. This is the answer to the question. Do not open the card or the paper.

    • Do the same for all the pieces of paper

  3. Leave the unopened pieces of paper and their corresponding unopened cards resting on the table

  4. Each day write down your lived experience at the end of the day

  5. Wait for the 3 days to pass

  6. Open the card (just the card not the paper) for each paper - one by one.

    1. Capture the first thoughts immediately

    2. Repeat for all pieces of paper

    3. Compare your lived experience of the last 3 days to your notes

  7. Open all the pieces of paper and compare your recorded notes of the card to your notes on your lived experience

until next time,

may your intuition be a source of stability for your dignity
