Co-Creating Your Desires: Summer Solstice, Litha, Vestalia

The energy of summer is generally light, carefree, abundant, and adventurous. Let's work with the season's energies to co-create our desires.

Themes: Attraction work. Abundance Work. Liberating stuck energy. Shadow work. Bringing your passions out to the world. Shining your light. Being seen. Giving life to. Warmth. Expand. Healing wounds of invisibility. Strength. Inviting in the sacred masculine. Being blessed. Fertility. Creativity. Charism-a. Releasing/addressing shame, guilt, and fear.

Celestial Event: Summer solstice is the longest day of the year. After which the days start to get shorter a little at a time. There's a climax point and a suggestion that dark is beginning to near. So we're taking in all the light we can get.

In popular new age thought we’ve been taught solar is masculine and lunar is feminine. It’s not that simplistic. Let’s get to know the sun as a feminine force and discover the gifts of a feminine solar force.

PS: Food is medicine!

In our rituals we use food as a way to amplify the energies w’ere building in ourselves

Dandelion salad with sunflower seeds dressed with lemon and st johns wort oil. Yellow squash soup. All homemade, organic, and made from scratch.

Homemade honey cake made from scratch with sliced pistachios, strawberries, and peaches.

pART 1: CO-CREATION RITUAL

This part of the ritual was focused on ritual and co-creative work. We performed the ritual in multiple stages:

  • Liberate stuck energy (energy work exercises)

  • Getting clear on desires (conscious journaling and intuitive processing)

  • Stepping into your desire (energy work exercises)

  • Owning your part of the co-creative process

  • Eat, talk, and celebrate!

pART 2: fire celebration

We built a sacred fire hours before the summer solstice.

In this fire sacred ceremony ritual attendees formally petitioned for the changes they wished to see. And basked in the energy around them. They learned to listen to nature and follow signs.

Separate temple area for attendees to pray in private.

Attendees received a surprise goodie bag to take home - homemade sacred anointing oil and homemade peony bath salt
